Why does Halloween seem like it really comes back when you enter college. In high school people did not care about Halloween it was just another school day. Some people might watch a scary movie or hand out candy but less people actually dress up for the day. These same people that didn't dress up in high school are the ones going all out on the costumes in college. There are also more people that go out on Halloween instead of staying in. For some it seems that it is just an excuse to go out on a week night but it seems other just get into the Halloween spirit more.

Its interesting that you should bring that up. We were actually talking about that last night, and the fact of the matter is that I fit this mold. I never did anything for halloween in highschool, but this year I was one of those people wearing full costume to class. And I also agree that people do use Halloween as an excuse to go out on a weeknight, but everyone definitely gets into the Halloween spirit more than in high school.

Maybe I'm alone on this theory, but after pushing through the crowd of 35 girls in the lobby last night, all skanked out to the max, it seems like Halloween is just an excuse for girls to dress like ho's and guys to chase after them. Highschool's parental control kind of stopped a bit of that.

I slightly agree with tyler, but I still "skanked out to the max" in high school. this year i didn't do anything. maybe it's because i don't know many people and haven't "partied" in years. regardless, i just like the creative aspect of making costumes. last year i was a snorkler, and the year before that, a fork. to each his own, right?
